LONDON: Pakistan will begin its quest for Olympics 2012 medal today with a field hockey match against Spain while shooter Khurram Inam will also kick off his campaign.
Three times Olympic champions Pakistan have lost both the warm-up games when they lost 5-1 to Netherlands and 2-0 to Belgium. Pakistan also suffered a blow when one of their ‘key’ player – Muhammad Irfan –sustained an ankle injury during a practice match.
Khurram Inam, a wild-card entrant to the Games is Pakistan’s lone shooter at the event.
